COVENTRY-based NP Aerospace has manufactured and delivered over 20,000 sets of life-saving body armour plates and carrier vests to Ukraine military personnel in the last three months.
This has been on behalf of NATO governments and is part of contracts involving 62,000 sets of armour that will be delivered weekly over the next nine months.
More than 1,000 helmets have been delivered by the company.
NP Aerospace manufactured and delivered the first 6,350 sets of body armour plates and carrier vests within the first ten weeks of the war starting in Ukraine.
To ensure the equipment is delivered as quickly as possible NP Aerospace has hired 90 new factory operators and is operating around the clock.
NP Aerospace CEO James Kempston said: “As Ukraine faces a full-scale war, NP Aerospace’s extensive manufacturing capacity is providing advanced, life-saving armour, helping to keep soldiers in the fight and bring them safely home.
