COVENTRY’S director of public health and wellbeing will be delivering a Covid-19 webinar for the city’s sports sector on Thursday October 29.
The 6.30pm -7.30pm hour-long session will address Coventry’s local status, Test and Trace, good practice within sport, how to be Covid-secure, how sport is affected by the Government tier system and where information can be found online, as well as an opportunity for questions or advice.
Public health director Liz Gaulton said: “I am looking forward to the opportunity to speak and listen to the city’s sport sector. By working together, we can ensure that legal obligations and local Covid-19 guidelines are met to reduce the increasing rate of transmission in the city.
“We want to encourage the city to continue delivering and taking part in sport, but to ensure it is also being done safely.”
Coun Kamran Caan for public health and sport said: “Delivering a webinar to Coventry’s sport sector is going to be extremely useful not only for clubs and players to gain or clarify information, but for us at the Council to see where additional help is required.
“We will cover as many areas as possible, also tailoring the session to answer questions sent to us prior to the webinar.”
