CREATIVE Park Hill Primary School student Zizi has won the International Children’s Games Team Coventry logo competition.
Zizi’s design incorporates key themes such as friendship and cultural diversity as well as iconic Coventry landmarks and references including 2-Tone music.
All Coventry students aged between four and 16 were able to submit designs for a logo, with more than 600 children entering.
The logo will appear on all the Team Coventry sports kits and uniforms during the games which will take place between August 11 to 16.
The voting panel was made up of Team Coventry’s sponsors, including Bericote Properties, Glencar Construction, Team Coventry Executive Board and Coventry City Council’s deputy leader Coun Abdul Salam Khan.
He said: “Congratulations to Zigi on winning the Team Coventry logo competition.
“There were so many fantastic entries from schools and young people across the city which was great to see.
“Zigi’s logo is all about Coventry and demonstrates what the city stands for.
“I’m really pleased that we could allow all of the students of the city to get involved with the games.”
