COVENTRY has rallied for 20-month-old Hallie Reeve after an appeal to raise £1million for life-saving treatment passed its halfway mark in just over a week.
Hallie was diagnosed with Juvenile myelomonocytic leukaemia (JMML) aged just eight months old while on her first family holiday in Spain last summer.
After her latest stem cell transplant didn’t work, the family were told by Birmingham Children’s Hospital the only way to save Hallie’s life involves a CAR T-cell therapy trial.
Hallie’s aunt Hannah Dugdale started a GoFundMe page after being told Hallie’s best option would be to go to America for the therapy.
Local businesses, organisations and residents have backed Hallie’s cause.
Coventry City football club is among the many businesses, organisations and residents to have backed the appeal
Hallie and her family are lifelong sky blues, with Hallie’s dad Jamie describing his beloved clubs support as ’emotional.’
This Sunday (July 16), Kitchen 126 will be hosting a baby and children’s clothes and toy sale between 2pm and 6pm, with all the cash going to support Hallie’s cause.
