Cuddle bed will make the difference at Coventry's Myton Hospice

Coventry Editorial 14th Apr, 2023   0

TWO CUDDLE beds are now available to patients of Myton Hospices after generous support.

The cuddle beds, now installed at the charity’s Coventry and Warwick Hospices, have been made available after donations from supporters and the Morrisons Foundation.

Cuddle Beds fold out to allow a patient’s loved ones to lie alongside them during a time when they need it most.

Myton asked several businesses, schools and community groups to host festive fun days to fund the cuddle bed.

Events ranged from bake sales, Christmas jumper days and seasonal quizzes.

Myton Hospices Warwick deputy ward manager, Tracie Beechey said: “We believe the need for physical touch heightens as people grow more unwell so anything we can do to help facilitate those special moments is so important.”
