A DRUG dealer was arrested after being found with what is believed to be 150 heroin and crack cocaine wraps hidden inside his pants.

Two were held in total on suspicion of dealing and knives were also seized in Coventry.

Officers responded to reports of a woman being robbed by men in Canal View, off Foleshill Road, yesterday eveningĀ  (July 19).

They arrived minutes later and detained one man in the street while a teenager was stopped as he tried to flee.

Officers recovered two knives, including a combat-style weapon in a sheath believed to have been discarded by the 16-year-old shortly before he was arrested.

Officers seized around 60 wraps of white powder from the boy and when officers later searched the 24-year-old in custody a bag of drugs was found concealed in his underwear.

Both have been arrested on suspicion of drugs supply and knife possession and remain in police custody.

A quick 999 call to West Midlands Police meant officers got to the scene within minutes to make arrests and seize drugs and knives.

The force has hailed it as a ‘great result’.
