A 31-ACRE plot of land which will be used for the first phase of a new 2,400-home community in Coventry has been sold to tenure developer Countryside Partnerships.
The area on Pickford Green Lane has been allocated for development in the Coventry Local Plan, with 250 new homes set to be built there.
This development will form the first part of a wider 353-acre site at Eastern Green which outline planning permission was secured for in 2021.
The wider scheme, known as Pickford Gate, will see 25 per cent of the 2,400 new homes be affordable.
There will also be 37 acres of land dedicated to helping to grow employment, a new primary school, district and local community centres, a transport hub and open spaces and play facilities.
Countryside Partnerships is looking to open show homes on the site towards the end of the year.
A new website to provide further details on the Pickford Gate new community will also be launching soon.
