Developer sponsorship provides kit for Coventry City Girls FC

Coventry Editorial 28th Apr, 2023   0

COVENTRY City Girls Football Club’s under 14s team has received a boost after Barratt Homes sponsored kits for the 2022/23 campaign.

The developer funded the clothing for 16 players aged 12 to 14 as part of its investment in the future stars of the women’s game.

The team has been running for the past seven years, playing up to four matches each month – their final game of the season is on May 13.

Claire Hardcastle, Coventry City Girls FC under-14s team manager, thanked the company and said: “Barratt Homes has sponsored our team for a few years now, and it’s good to have a stable sponsorship for the team.

“The girls love to receive new kits and, thanks to the sponsorship, we were able to provide them for all players on the team.

“Some players had outgrown their previous kits, so they were happy to be comfortable.”

She added finding kit sponsors was often hard so deals like this took some of the pressure off.

Mark Cotes, Barratt Homes North Midlands managing director, said: “We’re very happy to have supported Coventry City Girls Football Club over a four-year period, as part of our efforts to help young children stay active whilst contributing to their future success in sports.”
