A DISGRUNTLED Coventrian has hit out at St Mary’s Guildhall as the historical building does not accept cash payments.
Members of the public wanting to visit the hall can only use card or contactless which he said was ironic for a historic building and excluded potential visitors who were unable to use the available methods.
A spokesperson for No Ordinary Hospitality Management which runs St Mary’s Guildhall said: “We operate a cashless policy across all our public-facing businesses due to efficiencies and safety, in terms of handling cash.
“People have, by and large, accepted that policy and, if necessary, made adjustments and we appreciate that understanding.”
