THE RSPCA Coventry and District branch is appealing for donations to help launch its new veterinary centre.
The centre, which will help care for around 1,000 animals it supports and rehomes each year.
In 2021 the branch rehomed 300 cats and 105 dogs.
The vet centre will eventually open to the general public and will need equipment to cope with demand.
Staff are looking for businesses to donate cash for items including a centrifuge and haematocrit machine and an infusion pump, which would cost £1,000.
These items will help them check the health of the animals without external vet fees.
