A DRINK-driver was arrested in Coventry in the early hours of this morning.
The white Skoda failed to stop for police in then drove dangerously in a bid to make an escape.
Officers from the West Midlands Police traffic felt he posed too much of a risk to himself and others. So, rather than continuing the pursuit, they enlisted the help of the National Police Air Service (NPAS) helicopter.
When the man was caught, he blew 71 on the roadside breath test – almost double the legal limit.
He was arrested on suspicion of drink driving and the vehicle was found to be uninsured.
