THERE will be plenty of festive fun in the car park at the Ricoh Arena where a safe socially-distanced Parking Lot Social Winter Festival is taking place between now and Christmas Eve.
There are massive 40ft screens and a 60ft rainbow-coloured Christmas tree with each event able to accommodate 150 cars.
Each event has a DJ / MC to provide some pre-film entertainment with music and games. There is also festive food available.
Today, there is a social kids Christmas party taking place between 2pm and 4pm where Santa Claus is hosting two hours of immersive fun featuring a silent disco, car-a-oke, an interactive quiz and party bingo. Prices range from £37.60 to £47.80 per car.
And for the adults there is a Big Weekender tonight from 9.15pm to 11pm. People are urged to dig out the Christmas jumper from the back of the cupboard because the annual Christmas night out is saved!
DJs, silent discos, car-a-oke, big screen mistletoe kissing cam, party bingo, interactive quizzes and more. This year you (and Colin from finance) will have no regrets the next morning!
A professionally produced live production of Cinderella is also being performed from tomorrow until Christmas Eve, December 22, 23 and 24. The two 40ft screens ensure the cast and stage is visible from every part of the car park. Tickets are from £47.80 to £58 per car.
Tickets are available for Tuesday shows at 1.30pm and 5pm.
Tickets are available for Wednesday’s shows at 10.30am and 2pm.
Tickets are available for Thursday’s performances at 11.30am and 5pm.
There is also a screening of Christmas classics Elf today (Monday) at 6pm and Home Alone on Wednesday, December 23, at 8pm. Tickets start at £41.88.
The drive-in event has been designed with social distancing in mind, and, as such, is able to go ahead in Tier 3 regions under the government’s latest Covid-19 guidelines.
