Driver arrested on suspicion of people trafficking after 14 men found in back of lorry

IMMIGRATION officers have been informed after police found 13 men in the back of a Romanian lorry on the A45 near Rugby.

Police stopped the lorry at the Mangrove Service Station on the A45 London Road at 2pm on Thursday (August 24).

The men found inside the insulated lorry were treated for heat exhaustion by ambulance staff, and three of them required hospital treatment. None of the injuries are thought to be serious.

The remaining men have been taken to custody.




The driver of the lorry, a 26-year-old man, has been arrested on suspicion of people trafficking.
