EDITOR’S COMMENT
The Observer unashamedly supports the 135-year-old Coventry City Football Club.
Our data shows the Sky Blues are still the biggest story in town bar none – despite their alarming drop within two decades from the top to bottom tier of the English Football League.
We’ve reported extensively on the multi-party dispute which has contributed over years.
But this season’s blessedly overwhelmingly been about football, not off-field politics – for us and fans alike.
Monday’s return to Wembley for the club’s biggest game since 1987 is just reward for fans, and the hard work of boss Mark Robins and his team.
Best of luck. We’ll be proverbially kicking every ball.
