AN ELDERLY man has been taken to hospital after being hit by a bus in Coventry city centre.
A West Midlands Police spokesperson said: “Police are currently dealing with a collision involving a bus and an elderly pedestrian in Coventry.
“The incident happened at around 11.45am on Cross Cheaping in the city centre.
“Officers are in attendance along with paramedics from the ambulance service.
“It’s believed the man has suffered a leg injury.”
A West Midlands Ambulance service spokesperson said: “We treated a man for injuries which are not serious.
“He has been taken to University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire for further treatment.”
