Enterprise club boosted by generous donation

A CASH-INJECTION will ensure that disabled people in Coventry can look forward to more activities over the Christmas period.

Over £600 was donated to the Coventry Enterprise Club for disabled people courtesy of the Coventry Recycling Club.

The enterprise club was one of three latest local good causes the recycling club was supporting – and general manager Jill Simms was extremely happy that they were allocated most of the funding by recycling club members.

She added: “We are delighted that we have been so successful and we are surprised at the amount we are going to receive – this will be of tremendous benefit to our members.

“We find that some people who come here, particularly young people, can often feel lonely over Christmas when their schools and social groups have stopped.

“We plan on using this money to put on more activities for our members to enjoy.”

Other groups to benefit from funding through the recycling club were the Coventry Scout Group and Peggy’s Park Community Centre.

All groups that benefitted from funding were the recycling club’s selected ‘good causes’ – which club members chose to donate their points they have gained through recycling in their area.

The cause with the most points received the most cash.
