A FORMER Britain’s Got Talent finalist from Coventry is to stand trial later this year accused of downloading child pornography.
Leeroy Bailey, a member of the Britain’s Got Talent 2007 finalists Kombat Breakers dance troupe, has pleaded not guilty at Warwick Crown Court to making indecent images of children.
Bailey (36) of Hera Close, Foleshill, Coventry, denies a total of six charges involving still and moving images across all three levels of seriousness.
The court heard the charges related to five movies and one still said to be in category A, the most serious, involving children being subjected to penetrative sex acts.
Two further charges allege one movie and four stills in category B, showing children in non-penetrative sex acts.
The remaining two charges are said to relate to four stills and six movies in category C, defined as showing children in naked or indecent poses.
Bailey’s barrister Delroy Henry explained: “There is no dispute about the images recovered from his computer.”
Asked by Judge Andrew Lockhart QC whether the issue in the trial will be who had downloaded them onto the computer, Mr Henry replied: “Precisely.”
The case was adjourned for trial, which is expected to last for just one day, but is not likely to take place until September, and Bailey was granted unconditional bail.
