TICKETS for Coventry City’s Checkatrade Trophy final at Wembley go on sale on Monday to season ticket holders – who can buy a maximum of six tickets, we can reveal.
Full details are to be released by the Sky Blues later today, but we have learned of the generous priority arrangements which will reward the current 6,000 season ticket holders.
Any tickets remaining after that initial priority sale, from Wembley’s initial allocation to the club, will go on a second priority sale at a later date, to holders of any home matchday ticket from any Sky Blues game at the Ricoh Arena this season.
On this basis, fans are also being urged to buy home tickets for Saturday’s League One game against Gillingham and the upcoming League fixture against Swindon, as the Sky Blues battle to avoid relegation.
Each ticket stub from any home match this season will entitle the holder to one ticket for the final versus Oxford or Luton at Wembley, on Sunday, April 2 (kick off 2.30pm) – up to certain maximum.
It is not yet known how many tickets will be made available for Coventry City fans, but it is believed to be between 20,000 and 40,000.
Wembley will release an initial allocation of tickets to both clubs. It is understood it will release more to Coventry City if an initial allocation sells out.
Depending on demand for initial tickets, Wembley could release more by taking a decision to open the top tier of the national stadium, we understand.
Priority sale will also be available ahead of general sale to Junior Sky Blue Members and match package holders, although further details are awaited.
UPDATE: 1.35pm. Details have now been released on the CCFC website.
Due to demand, the club strongly advises that fans purchase tickets either online at eticketing.co.uk/CCFC or over the phone on 0844 453 9134 to avoid any disappointment.
