A WEBSITE created to highlight things to do in Coventry for families celebrates its first birthday next week.
Coventry Rocks was launched by Jess McLish, inspired by her own experiences as a mum finding activities her family to participate in around the city.
She said: “When I became a mum, I found it difficult to find groups and places to go with my daughter.
“There are so many brilliant places to explore in Coventry, and groups to be part of, but I would spend hours trawling the internet trying to find something suitable.
“What I needed was a ‘one stop shop’ for everything in the area.”
The website features more than 50 local outdoor spaces, including parks, nature reserves, woodlands and family friendly walks.
The Parks and Walks section has proved very popular with local families and the website has been even busier during the pandemic as people search for things to do to stave off lockdown boredom.
In its first year Coventry Rocks has had more than 72,000 families visit the website and it has over 5,000 followers on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.
More than 500 events, activities and groups have been featured in the first year.
Families, individuals, businesses, organisations and charities can email Jess at [email protected] if they are interested in collaborating with Coventry Rocks.
