Coventry Editorial 8th Feb, 2019   0

THE FAMILY of a woman killed after being hit by a car in Rugby have described her as “the nicest person you could ever meet”.

Margaret Adams, 60, from Rugby, died on Sunday evening (February 3) after she was hit on Bilton Road between the Webb Ellis Road and Buchanan Road turn-offs.

In a statement, her family said: “Margaret was a loving mother to two sons and a sister to two brothers.

She had a huge personality and was well known and liked by many in the local community. She worked as a dedicated carer and touched the lives of so many people. She was the nicest person you could ever meet and her passing has come as a great shock. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her.”

Two men – a 54-year-old and a 35-year-old – from Rugby arrested in connection with the incident have since been released under investigation while enquiries continue.

Police are continuing to appeal for anyone with information that could help with their enquiries to call 101 quoting incident 325 of 3 February 2019. Alternatively, information can be provided anonymously to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
