THE FAMILY of Anthony Treadgold whose body was discovered in Coventry last week, have paid tribute to a ‘caring son’ who would do anything for anyone.

His mum Susan and stepfather Dale said: “He was very caring and loved by us and all of his family.

“We are truly heartbroken at the tragic outcome, Anthony will be in our hearts forever.

“We would like to thank the West Midlands Police who did everything they could to find Anthony, also thank you to everyone who shared information to help find Anthony, thank you to everyone who sent kind wishes.”

Police launched the first of several appeals on November 1 after Anthony’s disappearance.

The appeals were shared far and wide and for which officers said they were really grateful.

Tragically last Friday, after nearly three weeks of searches, the body of the 44-year-old was found on land near to Westwood Heath Lane.

Anthony’s death is not being treated as suspicious and has been referred to the coroner. His family are being supported by specialist officers at this sad time.
