THE FAMILY of a man who died in a collision in Coventry last week have paid tribute to him.

Reece Bird, 26, lost his life in Quorn Way on Friday (May 16) after he came off his motorcycle – and now his family have released a photograph and tribute.

They said: “With a heavy heart we lost our Reece on Friday. Reece was one of a kind.

“We’ve lost our brother, our best friend, our main man.

“Anyone who knew him knew how much he lit up the room by just walking in, a smile that could fix anything.

“He never thought anything was impossible and always went above and beyond for his family.

“If only love could bring a person back. Our family would like to say thank you for all the love and support we have received, Reece would be so proud.”

Police were called to Quorn Way at just after 8.05pm on Friday (May 16). Enquiries into the collision are ongoing.

Police have spoken with witnesses and are reviewing CCTV as they establish the full circumstances, but are not currently looking for any other drivers or vehicles.

Anyone with information or dashcam footage is asked to get in contact with detectives by email at [email protected] – or by using Live chat at www.westmidlands.police.uk, or calling 101, quoting incident number 5344 of May 16.
