FESTIVE FILMS will be screened in the run up to Christmas by CineCov which has been transforming the whole of Coventry into a cinema for the past 12 months, writes Amy Ford.

The first showing is the post-war, five times Oscar nominated ‘It’s a wonderful life’ at 8pm on December 18 at the Cemetery’s Anglican Chapel on London Road. Click here for tickets and more information.

On December 23 there will be screenings at Coventry Cathedral of ‘We’re Going on a Bear Hunt’ and ‘The Snowman’. A live orchestra will accompany the film to enable viewers to fully immerse in the magic of the movie.

As an extra special treat there will be a live orchestra accompanying the film to fully immerse viewers in the magic.

So as many people as possible can see these family favourites, there will be three screenings – at 2.30pm, 4.45pm and 7pm.

This programme is Coventry’s final celebration of being the UK’s City of Culture 2021.
