Festive-themed ice sculpture trail coming to Coventry this Saturday

Coventry Editorial 24th Nov, 2021   0

CHRISTMAS creativity will be showcased in Coventry this Saturday, November 27, when visitors can see eight intricately carved ice sculptures, writes Amy Ford.

The figures – part of an ‘Ice Trail’ – will be available to view throughout Smithford Way, Market Way and Upper Precinct from 12pm to 6pm.

And as darkness falls the sculptures, which take inspiration from the festive season, will be illuminated.

Coun Abdul Salam Khan, Deputy Leader and Cabinet Member for Events said, “They look fantastic and I’m sure they’ll bring some wonderful festive cheer to the city.”

The event is free of charge and visitors are asked to use the #CovIceTrail when posting pictures of the ‘Arctic Wonderland.’
