Fifth person charged with murder over fatal hit and run in Coventry

A FIFTH person has been charged and has appeared in court over the murder of Andrew Flamson, who police believe was deliberately knocked down and killed in Coventry in July.

The 40-year-old father of one was walking in Grosvenor Road on the night of July 12 with a friend and family when they were struck by a silver Ford Mondeo.

Mr Flamson was later pronounced dead in hospital after suffering fatal head injuries.

Police had already arrested and charged four men in connection with Mr Flamson’s death, and they are all on remand in prison awaiting trial.




Ashley Donald was charged with Mr Flamson’s murder and the attempted murder of the three people he was walking with at the time, including one man who suffered serious head injuries.

Donald was also charged with criminal damage in relation to Mr Flamson’s dog who was killed in the collision.


The 23-year-old appeared at Leamington Justice centre on Monday, September 26 and is remanded in custody.

Police said their investigation is ongoing and they are ‘determined to secure justice for Mr Flamson’s family and friends.’
