Fire ripped through derelict Coventry pub

A FIRE ripped through a derelict Coventry pub on Tuesday.

Crews from Coventry, Foleshill, Canley, Solihull, Sheldon and Binley – 34 firefighters in all – took on the flames with the first ones on the scene within five minutes.

The three-storey former Grapes pub building on Fynford Road in Radford, sustained severe damage and crews used water jets and a hydraulic platform to get above the fire to tackle it.
