FOUR MEN have been charged in connection with an incident in Coventry city centre.

The attack happened in Upper Precinct around 3.30am on October 6.

A 19-year-old man was found with multiple injuries. Fortunately these were not life-threatening but following extensive enquiries officers from West Midlands Police detained four men across Friday (October 20) and yesterday (October 21).

Prince Lhamy, aged 19, from Coventry, Pious Adabie, 19, from Birmingham, and Alexander Nzola, 20, from Coventry, were charged with wounding, violent disorder and possession of an offensive weapon. They appeared before Coventry Magistrates Court yesterday.

Eniola Akingbesote, aged 20 from Birmingham, has since also been charged with the same offences and is due to appear before magistrates tomorrow.

West Midlands Police are still investigating the incident and are still keen for witnesses or anyone with information on the attack to contact officers via Live Chat at or by calling 101.

Alternatively, call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
