A COVENTRY man has been arrested in connection with a knife attack on Tile Hill.

A 33-year-old man was left with serious injuries to his arm, after he was attacked by a group wielding knives and baseball bats in Tile Hill Lane, on Monday October 7.

He was set upon shortly after leaving a restaurant around 10.30pm, police say.

Detectives said the arrest is the fourth in connection with the attack, which they are treating as attempted murder.

Armed police stopped a car on the A444 on Saturday night (October 12), taking a 19-year-old man from Canley into custody, where officers continue to question him.

A 28-year-old man and another 33-year-old man have already been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder.

The 33-year-old was recalled to prison, with the 28-year-old released on bail until a hearing in November.

A 24-year-old woman was released after she was also arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender.

Coventry police ask anyone with information to call 101 at any time.

They also request anyone driving in Tile Hill at the time to check for dash-cam footage, and contact via via Live Chat at www.west-midlands.police.uk between 8am and midnight, or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111. Quote crime reference 20CV/237668H/19.
