A FOURTH man has been charged with the murder of Andrew Flamson, who police believe was deliberately knocked down and killed in Coventry earlier this summer.
Carl Tomlinson has been charged with murder and is due to appear in Coventry Magistrates Court today.
Mr Flamson was walking with a friend and family in Grosvenor Road on the night of July 12 when they were struck by a silver Ford Mondeo.
The 40-year-old father-of-one was later pronounced dead in hospital after suffering fatal head injuries.
Tomlinson, 51, has also been charged with the attempted murder of the three people walking with Mr Flamson at the time, including one man who suffered serious head injuries.
And he has been charged with criminal damage in relation to Mr Flamson’s dog, which was killed in the collision.
Three men have already been arrested and charged in connection with Mr Flamson’s death and they are all on remand in prison awaiting trial.
A West Midlands Police spokesperson said the investigation is ongoing and they are “determined to secure justice for Mr Flamson’s family and friends.”
Police have urged anyone with information to contact them via Live Chat on their website or by calling 101 quoting log number 4482 of July 12.
