A FUND-RAISER has been set up to help pay for the funeral of Nicole McGregor whose body was discovered on Newbold Comyn.
So far more than £600 has been raised of the £1,000 target for the fund-raiser launched by Sam Hunter from Warwick.
On the website Sam wrote: “I am hoping to raise funds for her family towards the cost of a funeral. Nicole was only 31 and it’s devastating for someone to be taken so young but the circumstances of her death were so senseless and pointless that it’s hard to get my head round.
“Please share and help raise some money for the family so Nicole can be given the send off she deserves.”
Anthony Russell, of Riley Square in Coventry, has been charged with murder and appeared at Birmingham Crown Court yesterday (Wednesday).
He has also been charged with the murders of Julie Williams and her son David in Coventry, who were discovered in separate flats last week – days before police discovered Nicole’s body in woodland on Thursday.
Nicole’s family said in a statement: “We wish to thank people for their well wishes, Nicole will be greatly missed. We request to be left alone to grieve at this difficult time.”
Tributes are also being left for Nicole in Willes Road near Jephson’s Gardens.
One read: “Fly high you crazy diamond, see you on the other side.”
