GABRIELLE will join Ronan Keating in Coventry with a special appearance at Godiva Festival this summer.

The event will take place in the War Memorial Park from August 31 to the September 2.

The multi-platinum selling, BRIT Award winning singer, will perform on Saturday’s main stage.

She said: “I’m really excited to be performing at Godiva Festival, I know it will be a fabulous day and I can’t wait to perform new songs as well as all the classics, let’s hope ‘Sunshine’ brings the sunshine out”.

Gabrielle was previously scheduled to appear as Ronan Keating’s special guest at his performance at the Ricoh Arena at Easter.

However, Ronan Keating’s performance was moved to a headline slot at Godiva to ensure the maximum amount of people could enjoy the performance, the council says.

Promoters expressed their excitement at securing Gabrielle to join him in the city after all with the two set to headline the festival.

Gabrielle has topped the charts a number of times.

Her debut single ‘Dreams’ broke a series of records, and her later albums and singles followed in the same footsteps.

Songs like ‘Rise’ and ‘Sunshine’ are just a few of her hits while three of her albums have achieved multi-platinum status.

The Godiva announcement has come just as Gabrielle has released a new single, ‘Show Me’, the first from her brand new studio album, which will be her first album in 11 years.

‘Under My Skin’ is set for release on August 17, meaning Godiva Festival-goers will be among the first to hear new material performed live on stage.
