Guenther bakeries UK to bring up to 100 new jobs in Coventry

Ryan Smith 17th Jul, 2022

GUENTHER bakeries UK limited has signed a lease with property group Goodman for a 106,000 square feet warehouse space in Coventry’s Lyons Park.

It is expected to create up to 100 new jobs and will mark the international bakery products supplier’s fourth UK site and first in the Midlands.

The new warehouse is set to be fully operational early in 2023 and will help fulfilling the contracts Guenther Bakeries has with a number of global brands.

The facility was chosen due to it providing fast access to the M42, M6 and M1 and is within easy reach of the A45 trunk road linking Coventry and Birmingham.

The facility is designed to be environmentally friendly which has seen it achieve BREEAM excellent status.

Construction is set to be completed later this month.

John Buckles, President and CEO of C.H. Guenther & Son, which Geunther bakeries UK are a part of, said: “This development was the ideal choice, blending a strategic location with high-quality, sustainable facilities, and equipped with the latest technology.

“This will support our mission to continue innovating our products and business and responding to changing customer needs.”
