UPDATE - Gritters out in Coventry as the snow continues to fall

Coventry Editorial 24th Jan, 2021 Updated: 24th Jan, 2021   0

COVENTRY City Council’s gritting teams are out on the city’s roads with snow forecast to fall until tonight.

The Met Office has a yellow weather warning in place for Coventry and the rest of the West Midlands and the snowfall could be heavy at times.

The Moat Street Car Park Covid-19 testing centre is shut because of the snowy weather conditions but the city council says the other testing centres in the city are still open.

Coventry United Ladies FC’s match with Charlton Athletic Ladies has been postponed, falling victim to the weather.

Those undertaking essential travel are urged to take care on the roads and to allow more time for their journeys.

Delays and cancellations are expected on public transport.
