A GROUP for people living with dementia and their families is celebrating its three year birthday in September.
Memory Lane Finham and Radford are projects of Good Neighbours Coventry for people over 50 years old and meets once a week.
There are various activities including darts, bowling, crafts and live music.
Memory Lane Radford meets every Friday, 10.30am – 12pm, at Lawrence Saunders Road Baptist Church and Memory Lane Finham meets fortnightly Tuesdays, 10.30am – 12pm, at Woodside Avenue Methodist Church.
When asked ‘What support does being part of Memory Lane offer you?’ carers said:
“This is a friendly and well organised group. The team is helpful and supportive. We are cared for as carers.
“The games we found interesting, we have managed to play skittles, crazy golf, darts, and table games. The quizzes and puzzles are exciting, stimulating and just fun.
“We also have a selection of reading material to take home, or to use to participate within the group.”
