LEGENDARY Coventry fundraiser, Phil Baylis is hosting a family bonfire night as part of his latest fundraising efforts.

The Good Old Fashioned Halloweeen and Family Bonfire Party in aid of a local baby hospice is set to take place at The Horse and Jockey in Corley on Saturday, November 1 and promises something for all the family to enjoy.

Mr Baylis has been heavily involved in supporting local charities through his fundraising efforts since 2006, although he is hoping his latest event won’t cause him as much pain as the last.

In 2012, his sponsored motorcycle tour for Myton Hospice across Europe was cut short after he was involved in a series crash in Hungary which landed him in hopital.

Speaking about the event, a fully-recovered Mr Baylis said: “I wanted to put on an event with stuff that you used to do as a kid.

“Families and kids are encouraged to all come along and bring a Guy for the bonfire.”

The free event starts at 4pm and promises apple bobbing, a pumpkin-carving competion and live music, with all proceeds going to Zoe’s Place Baby Hospice.
