Have a cuppa to say thanks to Coventry's NHS staff

UNIVERSITY Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire (UHCW) is urging residents to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the NHS with a tea party ‘like no other’.

Cash raised at the NHS Big Tea on Wednesday, July 5, will go towards the UHCW Charity.

The NHS Big Tea encourages people to come together, share a cup of tea and a slice of cake, and raise vital funds for the NHS.

Members of the public, schools, community groups, organisations and others are being encouraged to join in the nationwide celebration and hold their own tea parties between Monday and Friday, July 3 to 7, to help make a meaningful impact on patient care while supporting the incredible work of local healthcare heroes.

Whether it’s a traditional English tea, a themed party or even a virtual gathering, every tea party counts.

By donating the proceeds raised from the event to UHCW Charity, people will directly support patient care, staff wellbeing and help fund world-leading equipment and facilities across University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust.

Jo O’Sullivan, UHCW charity director, said: “The NHS Big Tea is a wonderful opportunity for our communities to come together and to show our heartfelt appreciation to everyone in our NHS, whilst raising funds to make things better for those they care for, our UHCW patients and their families.”

Email [email protected] or call 02476 966913 to contact the UHCW Charity team which can provide participants with resources, tips and guidance to help make their events a success.
