THE HERBERT is up for an award along with an auctioneer that sponsored an exhibition.
Fellows has joined the museum and art gallery on the shortlist at the 35th Arts and Business Awards after it sponsored Keeping up Appearances, an exhibition about women’s fashion through two world wars.
During the September to January exhibition they received £35,000 worth of items, including a gold Tiffany & Co. clutch bag from 1965 worth up to £9,000.
Jane Powell, a category judge for the award, said: “This shows you really don’t have to be a major corporate or have a big investment in order to do some really exciting work that brings benefits to both sides.”
They are sponsored in both the Sponsorship Award (below 10k) and the New Sponsorship Award. The ceremony will take place on the May 21 at the BFI Southbank in London.
