Heroes line up for a runaway success

Coventry Editorial 3rd Jul, 2014 Updated: 28th Oct, 2016   0

THE FIRST ever Hero Run event has been deemed a huge success by organisers with over 200 people taking part and picking up their very own medal of honour.

Participants at the testing course at the Heart of England Conference & Events Centre in Fillongley were pushed to the brink both physically and mentally on Saturday afternoon

Strength, stamina and agility were qualities needed to overcome the various running surfaces, gradients and boggy trails.

And there were also several man-made obstacles throughout the 10km action-packed assault course.

A total of 240 people took part and £347 was raised on the day for the Royal British Legion.

Plans are in place to create a second event later this year. For more information visit herorun.co.uk
