COVENTRY is in the top ten most expensive cities in the UK for learning to drive, according to a new study.
Research conducted by Bill Plant Driving School looked at the cost of driving lessons per hour across Britain to reveal the cheapest cities to learn to drive.
Coventry is among the worst with an average cost per hour of £31.25, although it is 80p an hour below the national average.
It is also estimated you need an average of 44 hours of driving lessons to pass your test, which in Coventry would set you back £1,375.
Brighton and Hove is the most expensive city at a rate of £40 an hour, with London finishing second at an hourly rate of £38.25.
Nottingham, Sheffield, Portsmouth, Derby, Southampton, Birmingham and Edinburgh also have a higher rate per hour than Coventry.
