COVENTRY enjoyed a packed day of tail-wagging fun with their pets at Saturday’s FarGo Dog Fest, which raised £3,719 for Broken Souls Rescue.
Highlights on the day included the Fun Family Dog Show in the Box which was hosted by the charity.
The show included 10 classes, such as handsomest hound, waggiest tail, best rescue and up to 18 months.
Prizes and rosettes were awarded to first, second and third place, with medals handed out for fourth to sixth place.
Broken Souls also had a fund-raising stall, with all the proceeds going towards dog veterinary, boarding and care costs.
There were plenty of dog-themed and interactive stalls from city businesses in the market hall including a bakery, a rescue gift shop, K9 massage and a tombola.
Other treats available included clothes for pets and paw print art, there was an agility demonstration during the interval and a small agility course outside for guests and their pets to have a go at.
Broken Souls Rescue works with similar organisations across the UK to save the lives of unwanted pets who have been refused by other larger rescues.
The charity does not have a kennel and works solely through foster homes and third-party emergency boarding centres.
