AN INNOVATIVE writer who has used poetry to help overcome different challenges in life will be hosting a women only networking event in Kenilworth this weekend.

Binley Woods author Sue Williams will be welcoming women from across the country to hear from a number of guest speakers and authors who will talk about the hundreds of opportunities available for women in society.

Hosted at award-winning venue Woodside, in Kenilworth, the event will help women get in touch with what success means to them and start to take action to achieve it.

A former careers adviser, Sue told The Observer she’s delighted to be hosting the ‘Your Signature Success Story’ event – which will run on Saturday (September 10) and Sunday (September 11).

She said: “The event is for women only and they’ll be plenty of inspirational women speakers on hand to talk about what opportunities are out there.

“There’s reason for all different types of people to get involved in the event – from those facing life changes to mothers preparing to send their children off to university or those looking for a career change.

“We all have our own unique view of what success means whether it be through family, health or sharing our own stories.

“I used to work for the civil service and took early retirement six years ago, but I changed my life around and started writing poetry and now have two published books – more examples of stories like this and advice will be at the event.”

The 57-year-old has used her new motive to effect and has been nominated for two Women Inspiring Women awards and other author accolades amongst appearances on local radio and in several magazines.

With a passion for connecting with and inspiring female entrepreneurs to be the best version of themselves possible, Sue is a true believer in the power of creativity and connection as a route to success.

She added: “It really is such a powerful time for women to be take centre stage, inspire and encourage others and achieve great things.

“I’ve learned that success is very personal and can come in many forms

“I look forward to finding out about the aspirations of the attendees and helping them to succeed.”

The ‘Your Signature Success Story’ runs from 9am on Saturday (September 10), visit www.eventbrite.co.uk for tickets.
