INTERACTIVE ‘hands-on’ workshops which challenges children to solve a mystery or head into space will take place at Coventry’s Assembly Festival Garden between Saturday and bank holiday Monday, August 27 to 29.
Youngsters are being urged to join the Brainiac Detective Academy where they will get to use real forensic techniques to discover clues to help them reach their goal.
Trainee detectives will analyse everything from fingerprints to the ink used to write a ransom note and a footprint found at the crime scene to track down the culprit.
And the hugely entertaining Brainiac Astronaut Academy (also August 27 to 29) led by the Brainiacs, provides young astronauts and their families with an opportunity to test their rocket design, engineering, and space exploration skills.
By the end – as well as building their ‘ultimate spacecraft’ they will also have a better understanding of the science of space.
