COVENTRY’S St Mary’s Guildhall will be holding a host of historical events over the May half term.
The Guildhall will be ‘reigning royals’ between Saturday, May 27 and Sunday, June 4 to mark the coronation of King Charles III earlier this month.
Families will be able to attend ‘Knight school’ on May 27, where aspiring soldiers will learn sword moves and defence skills.
Then on May 30 and June 1, visitors can use the guildhalls medieval kitchen to make a sugar craft flour and learn the weird and wonderful etiquette needed at a historic banquet.
Youngsters can also make their own crowns, design a coat of arms for their own royal household and dress up in costumes from the period.
And people can find out about St Mary’s Guildhall’s 700-year history during a virtual reality tour of the building.
