John Lewis offers coronavirus safety advice ahead of Solihull store re-opening

JOHN Lewis in Solihull has issued safety advice to customers across the region ahead of its re-opening next week.

The shopping destination for customers from across the West Midlands region has created an online video to explain measures it is taking to protect people from Coronavirus.

Some of these include:

The installation of hand sanitising facilities around the shop;

Prominent signage around the shop reminding customers to keep a two metre distance from one another at all times;

Rigorous and frequent cleaning of touch points, including basket handles, lift buttons, door handles and chip and pin payment devices;

The installation of protective screens at all till points and areas of the shop where two metre social distancing cannot be achieved;

Partners at shop entrances and around the shop are on hand to provide advice or answer any questions which customers may have.

A spokesperson for John Lewis said: “Customers will once again be able to shop numerous different categories from a variety of brands under one roof, and can also pick up their Click & Collect orders at John Lewis Solihull.

“For online returns, we are trialling contactless drop boxes at the entrance to our shops. As a precaution, any returned items will be quarantined for 72 hours.”
