A KIND-HEARTED 18-year-old from Coventry has organised a fun for all the family fund-raising night to support Afghan refugees arriving in the city.

The event – organised by Jessica Berry – will be at the Jaguar Sports and Social Club on Friday, October 8.

It will feature live performances, a raffle and an auction.

Jessica said: “When I saw the tragic events on the TV taking place in Afghanistan I knew I needed to do something to help.

“I had conversations with the Carriers of Hope charity in Coventry and found out about all the work they have been doing to take care of those coming to our city.

“I’m hoping it will bring together the local communities and raise lots of money for the cause.”
