A KNIFE was allegedly held to a baby’s throat during a robbery at a house in Coventry.

London men Joshua Juggan and Malik Ragnatt are accused of storming a house in Cheswick Close, in the Stoke area of Coventry, on Monday morning (June 18) and making off with cash and jewellery after threatening the occupants with a craft knife.

A 10-month-old baby, a three-year-old child and two women were in the house at the time, but no-one was hurt.

The pair were arrested by armed police from a vehicle on the M40 at 7.50pm on the same day and were charged with robbery on Tuesday (June 19).

Juggan, 24, from Alvey Street in Southwark and 21-year-old Malik Ragnatt from Bensham Lane, Croydon, are set to appear before Coventry magistrates today (June 20).

Detectives continue to investigate the robbery and are appealing for anyone with information to get in touch.

Anyone who was in or near Cheswick Close at the time of the incident − or who suspects who may have been involved − is urged to call the force on 101 quoting crime reference 20CV/135725N/18.
