Lady Godiva and sisters hosting two peace events this week

THE GODIVA sisters are set to host two events this week for remembrance and multi-faith.

On Friday, November 8, there will be a Commonwealth remembrance at new peace park on Foleshill Road, starting at 10am.

The Commonwealth commemoration is a collaboration with the Godiva sisters, Multi Faith forum and three local schools and churches.

Lady Godiva, Pru Porretta and Deputy Lord Lieutenant Colonel George Marsh MBE DL will be in attendance.

On Saturday, November 9, the annual multi-faith peace walk will take place from the Priory Visitor centre gardens.

Under a banner of peace, attendees will talk together promoting unity respect and peace.




Pru made a booklet giving the full route with a map, prayer and information about Coventry Multifaith forum.

The walk will start at 9.45am from the gardens and will visit Christian place of worship Holy Trinity Church across from Priory Gardens then out to the stoney Stanton Road to the mosque then onto the Hindu Temple by Halfords then Finish with the Sikh Gurdwara.


Ending with a meal together for attendees, the walk will finish around 12.30pm.
