THE CREATION of the special Coventry MONOPOLY board game to celebrate the City of Culture Year is gathering pace and it will move into production in a fortnight’s time.
Almost all the squares on the board and cards are now filled but there is one space left on one of the Community Chest slots for a Coventry charity.
People have until Monday, May 24, to nominate a good city cause to go on there.
The first charity to make it will be revealed next month, along with the 30 landmarks.
Victoria Downey-Webster, spokesperson for Winning Moves UK – makers of this game under licensing from Hasbro, said: “This is the very last Chance to pass GO.
“We have been overwhelmed and humbled with the response so far and we would like to thank each and everyone who has sent in nominations and suggestions.
“We would also like to congratulate the city of Coventry after officially entering its 12 months of cultural celebrations.
The new MONOPOLY: Coventry Edition game hits the shops in November.
