ONE of the UK’s leading hair and beauty wholesalers has shown its charitable side after raising over £5,000 for Zoe’s Place Baby Hospice.
Ellisons have held a variety of events in order to fundraise for the hospice after choosing Zoe’s Place as their chosen charity in 2016.
Events included a Christmas jumper day, alongside dress down days, a number of themed coffee mornings, as well as a raffle and a range of other fun activities and competitions to engage participation and to raise as much money as possible.
In June last year, staff took part in the Grin and Bear It challenge, an exciting obstacle course event taking place in Coventry’s War Memorial Park.
The Ellisons’ team have also incorporated their love of beauty into their fundraising by offering colleague treatments at their Academy. On special occasions the Academy offered treatments such as spray tans and nail painting to staff in exchange for a donation to Zoe’s Place.
“The Ellisons team are delighted with the fantastic amount raised so far to help support the children and their families at Zoe’s Place,” said human resources manager Haley Foy.
“We have all thoroughly enjoyed our themed coffee mornings whilst raising money for such a great charity at the same time.
“We have truly been overwhelmed with the on-going generosity of our colleagues and also from local businesses who have kindly donated raffle prizes to us.”
In 2017, the Ellisons team aim to raise even more money for Zoe’s Place.
Foy added: “We have a dedicated charity team who regularly encourage and organise various fundraising activities for our colleagues to join in with and we look forward to taking part in many more in the future.”
