Little chefs given ingredients for life skills thanks to school kitchen donation

LITTLE chefs at a Coventry primary school have been given the ingredients to learn life skills thanks to a donation.

Templars Primary School has received a £1,400 donation from Amazon in the city towards its culinary education programme.

The donation will fund kitchen equipment – including child-sized aprons, air fryers, cutlery, crockery, and dinnerware designed for the school’s educational mini kitchens.

The school’s programme aims to equip young students with essential life skills through hands-on cooking experiences.

Helen Benarous from the school said: “This partnership with Amazon demonstrates the value of businesses investing in our children’s education.

“These mini kitchens will give our pupils practical cooking skills while supporting their understanding of nutrition, food safety, and healthy eating habits.”

The donation follows previous volunteering support from the team at Amazon in Coventry, who previously helped with activity co-ordination at the school’s Summer Fair, as well as cleaning and maintaining the school garden.

Kate Marie from Amazon in Coventry said: “We’re big believers in the importance of practical life skills in primary education, and we’re always happy to help the staff and students of Templars Primary, who bring such enthusiasm to everything they do.

“We can’t wait to hear about the tasty dishes they cook with their new equipment.”
